Letter from the Editor: May

Whenever there was something around to read, I would devour it, and it being 2026, there is no shortage of content today. There is, however, a shortage of content that feels real.

Blumenthal was created to fill that space.

This magazine is for the Anglo-Jewish community—for people who care not just about what they consume but also about how they live. It is a place for thoughtful writing, for elevated visuals, and for conversations that feel both current and grounded in something deeper.

You will find a range of topics here—home, style, travel, people, culture—but all through the same lens: attention to detail, respect for the life we are building, and a refusal to treat any part of it as an afterthought.

We are not trying to say everything. We are trying to say the right things, well.

Some pieces will be practical. Some will be reflective. Some will simply be enjoyable to read. All of them are meant to feel like they belong in the same world.

This is not about perfection, and it is not about presenting a curated version of life that doesn’t exist. It is about recognizing that even within the reality of busy homes, responsibilities, and routines, there is still room for thoughtfulness, for beauty, and for growth. All we see is beauty and inspiration for opportunities to grow.

Blumenthal is meant to be something you return to—not out of habit, but because it offers something of value each time.

Welcome to our world.
